Antique Maws & Son Cherry Tooth Paste Lid and Pot

Have you ever seen the toothpaste jars from Victorian times? Tooth paste came in little ironstone lidded pots. Each chemist had a different design to entice customer. Today they entice collectors!

This one has a beautiful intricate pattern. S, Maw Son & Sons. Many sellers incorrectly label this paste as cherry flavored. The cherry only refers to the color of the paste due to the addition of carmine.

It’s extremely rare to find this set with the bottom base and matching lid. Please note the flaw in the lid.

Staining and crazing throughout since it has been buried for over 100 years!

Measures 2.75” across and approximately 1.5” tall
