Brown antique stoneware bottle with round rim. Antique era, 1890-1920. Marked John Gundy, Stockport.
The original packaging for Victorian England was a stoneware bottle! These bottles held up to shipping and everyday use. It’s amazing how they have survived over 100+ years!
This is a true piece of English history and not a reproduction. This item has been dug up from an English Trash Heap (sometimes referred to as a midden) where treasure hunters search for Victorian waste. This piece is in fair condition considering it’s been in the ground for over 100 years.
Measures: 6.75” x 2.75”
