Have you ever seen the toothpaste jars from Victorian times? Tooth paste came in little ironstone lidded pots. Each chemist had a different graphic design to entice customer. Today they entice collectors!
This pot has a profile of Queen Victoria and the text around the edge reads "Cherry Tooth Paste for Beautifying and Preserving the Teeth & Gums" This design dates to the late 1800’s. You’ll often see replicas but this one is genuine having been dug up from an English Victorian Trash Heap.
Staining and crazing throughout since it has been buried for over 100 years!
Lid Measures 3” in diameter and it stands 1.75” tall
