Ronuk was an English company that manufactured floor polishes. Early polishes came in metal tins. In the 1920’s polishes came in various beautiful blue glazed stoneware vases meant to be re-used when you were finished with the product. I love to use these are vases for cut flowers or dried florals for the perfect cottage or coastal home decor look.
Stamped underneath RONUK.
This vase is in near perfect condition considering it’s been in the ground for over 100 years. It’s been dug up from an English trash heap (sometimes referred to as a midden) where treasure hunters search for Victorian waste.
Measures 6” tall x 2.75” wide at the base with 1” diameter opening
Decorating your home with vintage means you are choosing to decorate with history and charm. It’s also the most sustainable way to decorate. You are keeping old items out of the landfill and saving resources and human labor used in the manufacturing of new home decor.
Each item in my boutique is hand picked by me. I take pride in building collections that are rich with color, history and charm. With Finches and Ferns, you can choose decor both intentionally and sustainably.
