Leather Ink blotter

This leather ink blotter is a true relic of the past! When writing with ink, it's necessary to use blotting paper and a roller to dry the ink as you are writing. Tools like this bloater came in beautiful sets and adorned desks as both display and necessity. Today, it's a gorgeous piece to add some nature charm to your bookshelf or even your own desk display. 

The piece features a floral embossed motif in leather.  The back is wooden and there's some traces of hand writing.  Please note this was a working piece and there is wear from years of use.  I think it adds so much charm.
