Pair of antique Bristol mantel vases with hand painted florals

These antique mantel vases were likely produced in the late 1800’s. They were handblown out of opaline glass and finished with gilt derails and hand painted florals in muted neutral colors. 

Similar styles were produced in England, France and Bohemia during that time period but it’s difficult to pinpoint an exact manufacturer for these. 

The hand painted details are worn.  

Mantle vases always adorned the mantle in twos and were sold in pairs. It’s become increasingly rare to find intact sets of antique mantle vases that have survived together throughout the years.  This pair will add so much charm and history to your home. Style them together on a mantel or add them to a bookshelf or hutch.
