This classic blue and white covered ironstone tureen was manufactured in 1848-1859 in England. It’s amazing to see a piece of history survive in such great shape. There’s some staining along the rim and a small chip as seen in the photos.
This would make a wonderful piece for any English antique collector. There’s “Lady Peel” pattern is floral, feminine and delicate. The pattern even continues on the footed pedestal.
